After the Capitolium and the Domus of Ortaglia, the Basilica of San Salvatore adds a piece to the historical puzzle of the city of Brescia with regard to culture. A culture that relies without fear on technology and finds its highest expression here. San Salvatore thus becomes a place where valorization and fruition come together in favor of an audience that loves to understand the wonders of the Italian territory.
Thanks to the support of Regione Lombardia, for the first time in Italy it will be possible to immerse yourself in a medieval church as it appeared at the time of its foundation; to know its history and its transformations as well as the characters, the highest leaders of the Longobards line, who ordered its construction; the martyrs, whose relics are preserved inside the Basilica, and the history of Italy of which Brescia was the protagonist.
For the months of August and September 2019 this service underwent a test phase, in which the public was able to make free use of the visit with the rental of the ArtGlass at the Domus of Ortaglia and participate personally in the improvement of this innovative project by filling out a satisfaction survey. With the active collaboration between museum and visitors, the public was thus involved as a protagonist in improving the service offered to make it permanent and effective.
