ARTGLASS PARTICIPATES IN THE CULTURAL RESTART OF THE CITY OF VERONA AND BRINGS AUGMENTED REALITY AT THE SIDE OF THE WORKS OF ART BY GIOVAN FRANCESCO CAROTO AND OTHER GREAT MASTERS OF THE PERIOD

Originally scheduled for 2020, on May 13, 2022, the first exhibition on Giovan Francesco Caroto (1480–1555), organized by the Civic Museums of Verona with Civita Mostre, finally opened its doors to the public in Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona.

Caroto and the arts between Mantegna and Veronese exhibition, on display until October 2, 2022, participates in the cultural restart of the city, bringing with it an innovative gaze that leaves room for technology in the exhibition experience.

After the slowdowns and difficulties of the pandemic, Verona can now tell the story that links the city to one of the most fascinating and representative painters of the Veronese Renaissance. The three curators, Francesca Rossi, Gianni Peretti, and Edoardo Rossetti, illustrate in detail over 100 works from some of the most prestigious Italian and international collections, thus articulating a splendid historical-artistic journey into nine sections.

Keeping up with the times, the exhibition experiments and proposes avant-garde storytelling methods by welcoming three multimedia installations, a visit itinerary accessible via the app, and an interactive game on tablets in Augmented Reality created by the ARtGlass company.

The complexity of the details and meanings in the works on display will be made accessible even to the younger public, thanks to an innovative language signed by ARtGlass.
Children aged between 8 and 12, but also their parents, will have the opportunity, included in the admission ticket, to try their hand at a special treasure hunt in the exhibition halls. By following the clues, they will be able to recognize the works by their details and delve into their secrets with a keen eye. Riddles and animations will not fail to make the journey through the particular moments of Caroto’s career, his significant interests, and aspects of his personality a participatory and engaging experience. Finally, personal taste will reward the most popular work on display.
